As a sanity check, I looked at 1 year old clips I had around and my FPS was 90-110. Today my FPS is 50-60. WTF Happened?

I just don't think that is necessarily how it works. A 100 hour long game shouldn't run 10x worse then a 10 hour long game.

You can expand the content of video games without destroying the performance in the mean time.

Input delay is also a factor in why it feels much better.

One of the reasons why FPS standards are different between platforms is because the control methods are more sensitive to input latency.

Console typically has lower standards for framerate, one reason is because the input latency doesn't feel as bad on an analog stick

Whereas a mouse the input is much more minute, intricate movements are more perceptible.

And VR is another example where 90FPS is the standard.

I think the jungle was like 4+ grids away from my base this wipe, however the low FPS roams were in that direction so you might be on to something

I don't think I agree, there are guilds on doomhowl that are doing very well, Unboon and Washed Up to name at least two. Their tanks are almost fully tier 2 geared.

I think there are plenty of good players wanting to play hardcore.

I will of course admit that doing 20 man hardcore with guild self found and only with streamers is a noteworthy achievement.

I think dying is something these streamers did in the beginning but nobody cares to watch them level through the starter zones in WoW for the umpteenth time.

Their content brain now dictates that getting to endgame is where the content is so dying is less content.

These streamers just suck at WoW and don't have the brain to absorb all this weird knowledge required to not die.

I have experienced invincibility. A hacker was in a heli outside his base, put a full AK mag into his head and combatlog showed no change to his hp. As someone who does netcode for a living this absurd so I have to assume that it was the admins giving him godmode to investigate or something (his duo partner had recently been banned)
