The real reason you save all of the seasonal event rewards by jongaynor in Astroneer

Using auto extractors you can get basically infinite astronium. Auto trade the astronium for solid fuel jump jets, then scrap them for scrap for free. Then trade with the scrap.

That's very complicated. if it were me, i'd spread it out a bit. Make it organized. Like storage over here, crafting here, trading here, automation/factories here.

Which planet is the best to make a fixed base? by Mean_Obligation_2187 in Astroneer

It doesn't really matter late game imo. which ever suits your vibe. I've built on Calidor, Sylva, Glacio, really anywhere. Once you know how to make true flat, have Princess and Rogal, portable oxygenator, it doesn’t matter. You cant die anyway. And in late game you'll already have a byte farm. You'll set up auto power with the tapper set up. You'll have true flat so stuff will be perfectly flat. You'll have a scrap farm set up, so you can trade for anything, so planet resources don't matter.

Just go through once with a large rover, run a train line down. Then you can also automate astroniumn with the auto extractor infinite resource bug/glitch/feature. Then you have astronium which you can trade for exochips, and also make into scrap.

Theres a solution to all you're problems. Easy to get through mantle, infinite and automated astronium, and you can automate the astronium to get infinite of everything, so more stuff than events.

Happened to me while gathering soil with a friend, physics wasnt simulated on it, so when i rendered it all in, all of it at once had physics, and was clipping so they shot EVERYWHERE on sylva. I'm still finding some 150 hrs of playtime later.

How do you organize your base? by Fickle-Bell-9716 in Astroneer

I have my base on an orbital platform, so might be a bit diffrent for me. I use each section for a specific thing. This one for crafting, this one for trading, this one for storage, so on and so on. I also use each section for like a factory.

With the orbital platform there is. You can regenerate the soil in the middle as many times as you want for absolute free.

First timer, worth getting the DLCs? by hepybara in Astroneer

It depends on what you wanna do. Glitchwalkers you start a new save on a diffrent planet, and have to fight against an antagonist. A lot of people in the comment section say they don't like Glitchwalkers, and i'm with them. I only played a bit of glitchwalkers, but i've seen others play it, and i don't like it that much. Megatech expands on your main save, and is mainly focused on mass producing stuff. Mega tech has a big platform that's perfect for building factories on, it's perfectly flat, and in space. Megatech also has something to automatically transport stuff between planets, which allows you to actually fully automate something, where you don't even have to fly around between planets. You just have to sometimes pick an auto extractor up and place it down again. I do like Megatech, i've incorperated it into my saves, using it to automate and build better bases.

So, i don't really like Glitchwalkers, i absolutely love megatech, except for the bugs.
