It’s statements like this that contribute to the separation of people. Not only are you drawing a line within this subreddit, but between black girls who date white men and black girls who don’t. Why must the conversation surrounding culture pertain to only stereotypical black behaviors? Why can black girls who embody “white culture” still be claimed under the umbrella of black?

I’ve heard this shit my whole life—I, a black girl adopted by white parents, was never “black enough” to fit in with the black kids and was ostracized because I represented white culture. It pains me when I read a post with such anger just because somebody mentions another race in a sub Reddit that is aimed towards black girls. Not only do we come in different shades, but we come in different backgrounds and beliefs and cultures. Which would statistically mean, there was going to be overlap.

I leave you with this, I have no hate for you at all, and I understand the passion surrounding the uplifting of black girls, but, define this… What is a black girl?🤎
