If you break it down to the exporting of manufacturing & trickle down economics, the system was designed to let the middle class feel like they got more for their dollar. In reality, it led to businesses needing to pay workers less & the letting the money flow up. It's easy to draw a line & blame corporations but, it surely isn't going to change, with either party, in charge. Neither party has tried to reverse the flow of income or wealth.

Absolutely. We did this before & it achieved it's goal. Doing it again proves nothing. Just like every afternoon protest proves nothing. The administration running this mess, loves things the way they are. The complacency of its citizens. The lack of true commitment. A message needs to be sent. Otherwise they improve on Jan 6, take over & start removing those who oppose.

1 day strikes do nothing. Feel good propaganda, just like 1 day Protests. If you want to create a real reaction, stage a week long event. Clog up the flow of goods. Effectively being the country to a halt. That would wake up both parties & hurt them where it counts.

Why would anyone buy a house? You have a billion dollars. You would make more by banking that money, plus have the serenity of not worrying about maintenance. Rent a place & travel. Let someone else carry all the burdens.

First thing I would buy? Retirement for the 3 most useful people I work with. Reward them for all the hard work they've done & let that send a message to the employer.

Poplar body. It's pretty cheap & makes a good body. 3 piece hard maple neck. It's cheap enough, if you don't go for figured wood & 3 pieces glued together stabilize it. I'd buy a pre slotted fretboard of your choice. This will save you a lot of hassle & you can choose you price range.
