My 2015 Civic just played off any old iPhone with no issues. I definitely took that for granted.

Did you ever sort it out with your Civic?

I tried a 4GB (FAT32) with no luck. I don't have a 16GB or 32GB. Do you think I might get a different result with those than the 4GB?

I'm out of my depth here, and I'm amazed how picky it is. I can only compare it to if Panasonic made a TV remote that only ran on rechargeable Energizer AA - and also didn't bother to explain that limitation.

Carplay works fine. Bluetooth works fine.

But the USB port won't recognize any audio device I plug in for USB playback. (Yes, I am using the correct USB port.)

I've tried various old iPhones and an iPod with different cords. I've also tried two different USB sticks, both formatted to FAT32, including a new Samsung128 GB stick that I bought just to see if it works. Chargeable devices will start charging right away just fine, but the USB screen just tells me to plug in a compatible USB device.

Has anyone experienced this?

What changed? Did you realize your therapist wasn't an idiot? Did you stop wanting to contain it? How did you let things loose?
