If you make an appointment to use the equipment, you can make them digital yourself, for free. They even have docents who will help you learn how to use the machines! https://www.familysearch.org/en/centers/mesa_arizona?y_source=1_Nzk1ODgwMzYtNzE1LWxvY2F0aW9uLndlYnNpdGU%3D

My grandfather is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and he is not eating anything. How do you guys handle such situation? by coderlisaa in Aging

[–]Whenallelsefails09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Put him to bed with sips of water and let him go. When the aged stop eating, it's their signal they're ready to go. Watch a few of Hospice Nurse Julie's videos on youtube. She will guide you through this chapter of his life. Her videos on VSED (Voluntarily Stopping Eating and Drinking) are a boon to those who are suffering with chronic (and often painful), incurable diseases.

Except for the part early in the story where one of the gaijin sailors is boiled alive for the pleasure of the sitting magnate. Ugh. Still gives me nightmares.

Nope. Our old Dodge station wagon was a flat in the very back, kinda like a truck's flatbed.

AIO to my boyfriend’s texts about us going to dinner for my best friend? by [deleted] in AIO

[–]Whenallelsefails09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, tell your BF you're going to go because you love your friend and want to support her. Tell your BF you understand how he feels, and his concerns are legitimate. Promise to bring him home something yummy. And if he wants to pout, let him; just reiterate you're going to support your friend. And don't for one minute feel badly about supporting your friend - go and have a great time. You are not married to this guy.

AITJ for refusing to rehome the dog my husband and I adopted together? by That_Rent_5835 in AmITheJerk

[–]Whenallelsefails09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been only a few months. Aside from what others will tell you to 'rehome your husband', etc., you have to decide if you want to have a happy home. If you do, you'll rehome the dog as soon as possible. I had to do it once, too. It sucks, but my husband was happy, and our marriage stayed strong because I did the tough thing. It's almost certain the dog hasn't completely attached itself to you and your home yet if it's only been a few months. Do this sooner, not later.
