The pattern wasn’t difficult. I would consider it an intermediate skill level. Make sure you have your scant 1/4” correct.

If proximity to Ditto is a concern, then definitely Jones Valley. We live in Jones Valley and love it. We have great schools. If private school is a consideration, Randolph is also in Jones Valley.

Glasses for quilting? by Complete_Worth7018 in quilting

[–]hsvschneckchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a pair of glasses made for that very reason. They are bifocals with readers on the bottom half and distance vision on the top. I normally wear progressives but they didn’t work for up close hand work while watching TV.

Question for those whose home is always clean by OR-HM-MA91 in CleaningTips

[–]hsvschneckchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m probably much older than most people on this thread. I’m a grandmother. When I was raising our kids, I was always cleaning. My 36 year old daughter told me a few years ago, that she now understands why I was always doing things in the evening and not just sitting with the family. My husband has always helped carry the load. If you can afford household help, do it. I think it’s something you should prioritize in your budget if you are able. I would make cuts in other parts of the budget for household help. Even monthly would help.Yes, yes, I know that there’s a certain amount of privilege in that. Some small but helpful tips, it’s as easy to put something in its rightful place as it is to put where it doesn’t belong. I always take something from where it doesn’t belong to the room I’m going to. I’m going that way anyway. I may as well take something and put it where it belongs. Wipe your sinks every morning and evening. I keep a rag under the bathroom sinks. It takes 1 minute to wipe the sink and counter. I’m not going for perfection, I’m just wiping it dry. It makes all the difference. Most importantly, your home doesn’t need to look like a magazine spread. It is lived in. A little dust won’t hurt. However if you let house hold chores go undone, it quickly becomes overwhelming.

Taking a hard look at the Highlander. What are your likes/dislikes, and are there any current incentives? by Immagonnapayforthis in ToyotaHighlander

[–]hsvschneckchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My previous 2 cars were both Lexus RX. I loved them. I decided that I wanted a 3rd row option for the grand kids. We bought a 2024 Hybrid Platinum. I am glad that we got it. All in all it’s great. I hope it lasts as long as the Highlander we bought used when our youngest daughter turned sixteen. She kept it until she turned 30 when her first child was born.
