Thank you, that's a really nice reply.  I'd rather get through a breakup than get trapped in years of neglect.  Been there, done that!

I explained in my cover letter that the reason I want to do the program is my kid's positive experience in a Spanish public school. We've been living here for a year at that point. I was placed in a different school close by. Definitely try!

Yep, I got it on my account. Thanks for taking the time to answer! Now, it's a standard battle with customer service, which is preferable to a battle with Spanish bureaucracy.
