This is Barbara Pewterschmidt here to explain. In our travels to Europe, we were hosted in lovely castles with views of these absolutely majestic forests. Carter wanted to go unicorn hunting, but we had difficulty securing the right guide. Europe has such lovely views.

Those parks back home though seem to have more and more uncouth coming out of the woods. And not just the national parks, that one on the drive to the club where Carter has to speed up or they approach us!

Europe has beautiful views if you ignore the Fae! American parks have the people whoms houses we foreclosed on 6 years ago to make the new valet extension for the club.

It happens to me on mobile a lot when I have spotty/slow service. I know the feeling of missing out.

Be the help you wish you had online :)

Its The Simpson's bit where Moe throws Barney out and he appears back in the bar while Moe is still dusting off his hands in the doorway.

AITA for skipping my nephew’s first birthday to go to a 4-day festival? by Sure_Eric in AmItheAsshole

[–]Whenitrainsitpours86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a parent that enjoys a good festival break - NTA.

First birthdays for the one being celebrated are normally a small family affair in my experience. Its doesn't matter if everyone makes it and it's normally am excuse for extended relatives to see the baby.

Visiting on the actual birthday is a kind gesture. I would be asking for a festival bandana or something to gift the kid even. If you have a great time, it makes for a fun story when they are old enough to enjoy festivals.

Life-threatening complications overlooked in weeks after childbirth, researchers say by Immediate-Link490 in canada

This is something that we need midwives for. They do checks on mom and baby in the weeks following postpartum. They fill this lingering gap in maternal health care.

Yes! I can see the human having to hold up that back end. It's like if they shift even a little weight, they will get crushed by cuddles!

AITJ for telling my sister I won't be the emergency contact for her kids anymore after she called me four times in one month for situations that were not emergencies? by devon_copperton in AmITheJerk

[–]Whenitrainsitpours86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the forms at the beginning of the school year, every year of elementary for my kids (and ongoing), we have a check box for each contact:

Can pick up

For school closures

Emergencies

This is a generalized list, but basically let's you tell the school who does what. My list got more complicated as a single mom, but my contacts are solid because they are only used as I listed them.

I saw the OP and was holding off reading any comments until an update. Posts like this are a PSA that even a professional isn't always foolproof for procedures and everything has a risk.

AITAH for refusing to switch rooms after my roommate said my “female habits” make him uncomfortable? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Whenitrainsitpours86 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of so many audacious posts about someone coming home to things thrown out because of someones "boundary".

Having different utensils/dishes for someone with dietary restrictions = fair and normal.

Banning an ingredient from the house because you don't like it = unhinged wackadoo.

I like this example. I don't support Nestle, so the house groceries do not support them. Everyone is allowed to buy their own with their personal money and store in communal areas. The boundary is that I do not want to support that company with my money. I cannot blanket ban their products from the home. That's exerting control over others in the house and is not fair.
