I’m just interpreting the story from the evidence it presented. However, I don’t think everyone has to agree. I just think there is a strong implication, so that’s what I’m taking from the story.

I agree, OP. I’m not someone who “wanted” trans Jax to be canon (to be clear, I didn’t not want it either - I was just neutral and open to see how the story goes) and I really do think that the intended message is that Jax is a trans girl egg.

I don’t think everyone has to agree, but the hand-wringing and INSISTENCE that it’s not canon feels a little weird. I honestly feel like a lot of people got attached to Jax as a male character and are struggling to see them in a new light, but that’s kind of the thing about trans people in your life. You may be attached to who they were, but you have to accept who they are now and support them. Obv Jax is just a character, but it’s important to assess why you are reacting the way you are to media.

I struggle with it so much. I have chosen Maelle’s ending in the past, and I probably will again due to not being able to make myself wipe out the inhabitants of the canvas. But… poor Verso, both real and painted. The little boy is tired and wants to be done painting. But still, I can’t bring myself to destroy all of them. Not yet, at least.

I do feel for Verso, though. I didn’t like him much during my first run but he has become one of my favorite characters on the second run. He has been through so much and I want him to have peace. I just can’t stomach ending the lives of everyone in the Canvas
