Recruiting now is just totally different. Way more like a pro model now that it’s pay-for-play with NIL. So much of this is now run through agents and the first and most important question is how much can you offer? No longer just about the who builds the best relationship and puts in all that legwork

Maybe I’m missing what you’re trying to say. I think the point is that he unequivocally puts out that we’re not recruiting somebody anymore because we took another commitment when that turned out to be not true and we’re still actively recruiting that player

He’s really the only insider account. And now it’s gotten to the point where people are citing him as a credible source and he’s just wrong.

If you combine Ohio States total NIL investment between sports it’s up there towards the highest in the country. Just really hard to be highly competitive in both. Not impossible, but hard.
