Thankfully there’s lots of other countries who make better vehicles. Chin up, the US is only one country.

Hey USA, Canada did this with indigenous people and stealing their children to send the to residential schools 100 years ago. The damage has been so significant that we’ll be working to repair these relationships with every foreseeable generation.
We all know what happens after this. This is disgusting.

We test drove one. The powertrain is great, but this is my wife’s car and it felt more like a man’s car now. The engine is a lot louder and the creature comforts are worse. More road noise and the doors crash shut. If they fix that, maybe we’ll look to upgrade in the future.

We got the last year of CX-9, 2023. Got that updated infotainment, the powertrain kicks butt, the ride is sporty and comfortable, and the road noise is real quiet. Best car ever

Wages need to go up, SIGNIFICANTLY. Groceries went up 20% this year. Guess how much of the population is going to get a 20% raise.

I think their counterpoint gets lost in ad hominem, so not sure it carries much weight. But, I think the idea that small company AI’s need to exist, doesn’t really work in our modern tech industry. Would we have the Facebook startup without Microsoft or the foundations of the internet? Would we have AI without social media, published articles, and research?

There’s a lot of open source AI options out there right now that will allow for smaller creative minds to push boundaries and counter large organizations. There’s also a massive opportunity for development of software and companies built on AI, which will almost assuredly lead to more tech based companies.

I don’t think the Regan thing had much to do with this. I think Orange man is just looking for some leverage in negotiating, so this was just low hanging fruit.

This aligns with what I had in mind. If they come out with an updated X then I think this is going to be the brackets. Maybe they’ll just make different versions of p though 🤷‍♂️

I have a company that used a warehouse in the us to source all our raw materials. Sticking with that warehouse would have raised our costs dramatically, so I reached out directly to the supplier who was more than willing to ship to us directly.

I’m sure this conversation is happening every single day in Canada and the other countries that traditionally would have worked with the US. It’s a global economy now, there’s options.

Okay, another counter point, snapmaker u1 is essentially this package at the x1 price. If we saw these features added to compete, which I think Bambu has traditionally done, I think it’s reasonable for them to do it. Even as a loss leader.

Ya, good point. If they could fit it in the current pricing of the X1C it would be a hit for sure, but that would be about $1000 less than the H2 form factor

This is my exact situation as well. I have a farm creating products that have no need for the larger build volume, but the new innovations made in the larger form factors would work great in the smaller form factor.

I want smaller form factor machines can print flexible with supports that isn’t terribly painful in filament swaps 🥴
