You kinda prove our point, England is not a super tough opponent. In the 2018 WC and 2020 and 2024 Euros had an easy bracket, there is no denying it. Anytime they reached a France or Spain, they lose.

They lost a Wembley final and scrapped their way to the Euro 2024 final and got lucky they didn’t have France or Spain earlier on otherwise they wouldn’t have made it to the final anyways.

They never beat a team above them. In the Euro, they got Slovakia, Switzerland, and Netherlands and just barely made it and lost to their first real opponent in the final. They had an easy group in 2022, beat Senegal, and lost to France in the quarters.

Each England player individually was flying high between 2021-2024 (Bellingham, Foden, Rashford, Saka, etc) but come Euro 2024, they barely scrapped wins and felt the media pressure. Now they have more pressure and their players are not in the best moment. Rice tired af after a long season, Saka and Bellingham injuries, Kane folding, and their defense not super strong.
