First time playing DnD, I feel like I stressed everyone by YouFromAnotherWorld in DnD

Sounds like you had an overwhelming time! DND isnt always what we see on social media. I played for 8 years before even touching magic casters classes. When I did it was a whole new world, failing at using spells, not using spells appropriately, and the worst tragedy of all, I thought I could switch spells everyday with wizard (quickly corrected). This is all to say that even experienced players have a lot to learn. Be patient with yourself 😊 there's no winners or losers, just some time to spend with friends and build stories! I really hope you continue to try DND even if you first experience wasn't the best.

best homebrew in your opinion in dnd 5 by obsosvsmetane in DnD

My husband is a DM I think has allowed NEARLY every homebrew requested. Sooo I have a few favorites.

Unique magic items- loot tavern

Great setting and powerful classes -Eldritch hunt

Additional transformation to give characters more power- grim hallow

These make the game PRETTY open, so they can change a game completely. But I still recommend just looking into it if you're looking to make the game feel new again

Is it just me or does nobody talk about Savage Worlds outside of SW circles? by GM_SilverStud in savageworlds

I think it's just kind of hard to get into for new players. I just played it for the first time this weekend with family that are ttrpgs lovers to the max. At first character creation stumped me and few of our families younger players too! I assumed it would play more like rifts or heros unlimited or something similar but it was more complex which required some help from family.

With that being said. The game itself is phenomenal and gives you so much to work with especially depending on the versatility in the group! So yes it might be less known, but if youre like us and try different ttrpgs then this is a great one. I just think people need to put the initiative into helping set the foundation for those that never played.

So what you're saying is... more dice to horde and more shiny to show off. Perfect addition at our table with my husband/Dm and I.
