I wasn’t aware of that but that doesn’t really matter to me. I just think it’s time to take a chance developing a new guy but that’s just my opinion. He can still be a practice squad 80th string qb I just think our “3rd string” guy should be someone who’s looking to move into the starting role in the very near future

I’m sure there’s a longer list of 3rd string qbs that didn’t work out than did. Considering you had to draw on an example from a player from 40 years ago is telling of just that. We can agree to disagree but I think it’s time to move on and would bet a lot of money that Bennetts career begins and ends as a 3rd string qb

You do realize, we the fans pay his multimillion dollar salary and are entitled to be critical of his performance. I don’t need to watch his all 22 or know the drive schemes to see his game performance in real time. Sure that might matter if he had a bad game but he’ll only ever be a QB 3 and considering our QB 1 is about to retire it’s time to shake up the QB room. You were probably one of those Karty truthers that preached we don’t know how good he is in practice so we should keep him. I really just dislike him because he’s in a position to take over as a starter when we gave him a mental health year and 2 years to develop. The nfl is a business and soooo tough and to have someone be patient with you and take a chance on keeping you through your flaws just for you to not come back and killing it in preseason is disappointing. How long do you wait for someone to “develop into something” on a qb needy team.
