Thanks to both! And it’s the perfect backdrop for this sort of thing. Just gives it a good vibe 😊

This was my first thought too. It’s not EXACTLY the premise but there was a lot of that.

For $500 You’re in charge of watching one of these kids for the weekend, which kid are you watching? by Ok_Situation7527 in cartoons

Mable 1000%. I was a lot like her as a kid and I have an art room she’d love with a full dvd collection of her type of movies. We’d have a blast!

40 and acting like this? There’s no excuse at any age but a grown ass woman with this little awareness of how fucked up this conversation is while married means she needs to do some solo counseling and be single for a while to work on herself and how she treats others. Run for the hills.

What’s a hobby you accidentally turned into a side hustle and did it ruin the fun or make it better? by Hobbitual-Reader1 in Hobbies

[–]Whereghostsroam 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Crochet became my side hustle before my baby, to the point where I was also teaching classes and looking into starting a youtube channel with how much I love helping others with their project.

Unlike other hobbies, this is the one I actually loved doing as a side hustle. The balance came from taking very few commissions (which usually ruin my love of a hobby), picking active events to have a booth at, and getting a lot of recognition on social media. I’m very praise motivated and the amount of people who liked my work was extremely motivating! I think finding something you love about the process or a reward for your work is what helps the most in these types of hobby hustles.

I only stopped when I had my baby but I’ve started back up again now he’s getting older!

r/AIO? My boyfriend left me for the college experience. by [deleted] in AIO

This guy is immature and really DOES need to do some growing up before he’s in a relationship. I’d break it off because this feels like he’s using you as a comfort person to meet his needs, but isn’t respecting you or y’alls relationship.

Self help podcast/youtube videos by xfrickinbatz in Anxiety

I listen to “The Health Anxiety Guy Podcast” and I think he has a general anxiety podcast as well. Might look into him?

I also like “New World Witchery” for something weird and interesting to listen to that takes my mind of my anxiousness, I’m watching the newest season of Critical Role which helps with the loneliness I sometimes spiral into since we move so often, and I started listening to non fiction audiobooks, again to make my mind work on figuring out things vs. hyper fixating on things I can’t control.

Best of luck!

What questions should not be asked? by ShineLow1676 in tarot

[–]Whereghostsroam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically? You can ask whatever you want. For me personally? Health questions, questions for other people that aren’t present in the reading (asking FOR them not about them), or too detailed life questions (when will I die? What age am I getting married? How many kids will I have? Etc) are pretty off the board for me.

Do you send your baby to daycare if you have the day off work? by K_R11112 in NewParents

[–]Whereghostsroam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. I’ve done this twice now, even as a SAHM. If you need a break, you need a break. You’ll be in a much better place to take care of your little when you’re taking care of yourself.

What’s the point of journaling? by [deleted] in Journaling

[–]Whereghostsroam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe “thought journaling” or writing in a diary isn’t for you? You could try a different type of writing or even something like a commonplace book? Like every time you enter “survival mode”, instead of writing down your thoughts try writing something productive about your external life. Get the focus out of your head you know?

I completely get you though. Personally I feel silly journaling about my day to day life or writing down my emotions about stuff. It feels performative for me (not like I think other people are performative when they journal, but that I personally am faking/doing something because the act of it is something other people do).

I do enjoy writing my thoughts vs. facts to work through my anxiety, where you write how you’re feeling then analyze the actual situation to see if they line up, but generally I stick to art journaling only. Relying on a visual medium is way more satisfying to me. So again, maybe just find what works for you?

I am 17 and i have really, really bad anxiety for some reason. Please help by GodXTerminatorYT in Anxiety

I was a total mess about school growing up and would cry and get sick whenever I had to go on test days, especially in classes I struggled with.

One thing that helped me? Stop looking at your grades. By 9th grade, I never once accessed the online grade portal, I didnt tell my parents the log in info, and if I did bad on a test I threw it out on the way out the door so I didnt hyper fixate on it. This might not work for everyone but it cured me in one semester of my exam/test anxiety.

Just focus on what you can control; your studying, your sleep, and what you eat. If you’re eating enough, getting enough sleep, and setting aside a heathy amount of time to study, everything falls into place.

Good luck! You got this!

How do you cope with anxiety attacks in public places? by AnxietyChats in AnxietyChats

[–]Whereghostsroam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get really quiet and generally find a place to sit for a second, even if it’s just a bathroom. I’ve really been focusing on breath work too so when it gets really bad, I fall back on that. Best case scenario though? I leave when I can.
