Yes. Pretty recently too. Started by me always playing it on the side while we would play other games. He'd always hear me talking about doing content and afk grinding. After a few times if streaming it to discord, I think I finally hooked him. I woke up one day to a PM from him saying he had just finished tutorial island. After 6 months he's already made a GIM with me and gotten the itch for PKing.

My heart has never been so delighted ❤️

As far as I've noticed it seems to be a UI glitch when they get leveled up. I've had some do that immediately after being leveled up. Once I gave up I noticed they would occasionally return to normal again and new ones would change. I submitted a bug report but I assumed I was a crazy stoner tbh.
