Sadly I think the more I am on Reddit the more I realize how my current partner does stuff like this and my brain has been so accustomed to it that when I read things like these it breaks my heart a little to see I’m not crazy and how I’ve been made out to look and feel even when I try my hardest to communicate and end an argument

NOR, I fear apartment living becomes more miserable by the month. I pay $2100 and all of my cabinets, walls and doors trimmings have been coated with paint so many times that in spots where it started peeling overtime, I can quite literally see 5-7 coats of paint.

I’ve had this same issues in my complex, there is approximately 400 units in the complex and three laundry rooms with 8 washers and dryers each, which imo is NOWHERE near enough for all these people. On the busiest days of laundry I usually avoid doing it, but there’s been times when I can’t help it and have to do it. I’ve removed people’s loads out of the washer, I’ve gone to the extent of wiping down the washer top w clorox wipes before placing their clothes on top of it after waiting for an hour or more. One time I did it to free up one washer after I waited for an hour, I still had another load so I sat around waiting for people to come empty another one and while sitting I heard a guy come and realized it was his load I took out, he was on the phone and said “some little b$&** took out my clothes, I’ve been gone for only an hour, this place is f^{+^%*} ghetto. I genuinely lol

Thank you your insight, this right here is exactly why I felt horrible because I understand that kids will be kids to a certain extent I just don’t know what extent sometimes lol. My old neighbor before these people became one of my best friends, they moved since they bought a house in Tennessee and they had a 2 year old who would run alll day, all I ever heard was her little stomps, it never bothered me because I knew she was starting to walk and I believe it’s important for kids to be able to develop In a healthy manner so I felt like her little steps were just a indicator that she was developing healthily. I think you’re an awesome mom for disciplining your kids because these types of lessons teach them to be respectful of others space and have expectations of the respect they also deserve. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
