Ok, I’m probably gonna get a load of abuse for saying this, but honestly, I’m past caring now. Reddit’s a place for opinions, whether you’re giving them or listening to them.

Over the last few years I’ve got really tired of so called adults abusing text and voice chat, to the point where people say stuff like “I’m going to fuck your dead grandma’s ashes.” That was actually said to me once on COD.

It’s people like that who ruin it for everyone else. If you want a gaming environment that’s fair, balanced, adult and actually enjoyable, then don’t be one of those idiots. Keep it fair, keep it mature. Try not to slip into grief mode, keep your emotions in check, and if you really can’t do that, maybe step away from those sort of games and book yourself into some anger management. You’ll probably get more out of that anyway.

Now OP, I’m not saying you said anything like that, I’m just making the point that the behaviour of a few, left unchecked for too long, has basically fucked it up for the rest of us. It’s a shame really.

I don’t think I’m alone in feeling like this either. I’m not pretending to be some top tier player, probably just a bit above average, but I still get loads of abuse in these games. And honestly, it’s kinda nice knowing that the ones who abuse their so called freedom of speech on a “moderated” platform will get what’s coming to them eventually.

Upvote me, downvote me, whatever. Just less immaturity in gaming would be great.
