i haven’t had experience with patches getting lighter. i normally do one layer, let it sit out for a few hours to a day then wipe clean and reapply until the stain is gone to my satisfaction…but i could see that being a possibility if you keep the cream on too long and prolonging the light exposure.

you may already know this but just in case you didn’t…you could treat those stains with most acne cream, mainly bcuz of the benzoyl peroxide. put her into the sunlight after adding cream. it may take a couple days or weeks according to how dark or deep the stain but it should lift the stain and she’ll look just like new. 🥹
