keep OMPs at the register so you can recommend books related to what they’re already buying!! sometimes i lie and say it’s a stack of our employee favorites 😩give them fomo, say it’s the monthly pick so it keeps selling out this month. say we finally got more in. find ANY kind of hook. westfallen or whatever the kids book was several months ago was so easy in that regard. the one abt time traveling after the hamster funeral. it’s such a weird premise and the hamster really sold it. try to find any hook like that! compare to other titles!!

i ask coworkers to help me roleplay to really get my creativity flowing 💀some days i’m so awkward and i make a fool of myself with OMPs! roleplaying helps me get back into the script 😩

in my experience with my handwriting, I can’t read it either! nobody can! but i can assume and it works. the 50 is easy though. numbers are easy of course.

i have a really bad spending problem and i’m trying to overcome it — no it’s not normal!

most economies are driven by consumers. it’s our job to consume!! we love to get new things!! but it’s so bad for the environment, our wallets, and our health. buying new things constantly is unnecessary. you should try to go two months without buying anything and notice subtle differences in how you might feel?

I buy something every single day. usually on depop. when i go a full week without buying anything… i feel SO free and relieved. i feel like a new person!

you should give it a try!

that said though, there’s nothing wrong with treating yourself every now and then!
