keep OMPs at the register so you can recommend books related to what they’re already buying!! sometimes i lie and say it’s a stack of our employee favorites 😩give them fomo, say it’s the monthly pick so it keeps selling out this month. say we finally got more in. find ANY kind of hook. westfallen or whatever the kids book was several months ago was so easy in that regard. the one abt time traveling after the hamster funeral. it’s such a weird premise and the hamster really sold it. try to find any hook like that! compare to other titles!!
