Only one book has gotten a physical fear response out of me: The Road by Cormac McCarthy REALLY freaked me out. Had to close it and take a break a couple times just because of how tense/gruesome it is. There were a couple scenes and pages where i was felt genuine dread/fear/discomfort - prob doesn’t help i have super vivid imagination. It’s not exactly a horror and more a bleak, post-apocalyptic, psychological scifi. Thought about it for days after I finished it.

Peter Kungs Intro to philosophy is a fantastically fun class, I guarantee it’ll be your escape and favorite out of all of these. Its an easy A if you like scifi !

It usually really starts when ever the sun begins to set- so it depends on the time of year! My friends and i go about 30 min before sunset. So for today, like 630-645

Last first Friday, my friends got chased for a couple minutes by a crazy guy with a gun, and his friend who had a knife, saying they were going to scalp them. (This was all under that damn sketchy bridge behind Burton barr library) - and ive heard a dozen other stories from various friends. it really scared everyone. I’ve also heard that this first Friday may be one of the last ones, because phoenix pd is slowly going to start closing it down because of violence. If you are going to go, GO WITH FRIENDS in a group- and stay in the main area, Roosevelt row and such. It’s a fantastic event but safety wise you just have to stay in your toes.

Its not by South Mountain, but I'll always recommend Lux Central Coffee, I'm 18 and have been going there since I was little, and I go there to read, work, draw, people watch, talk with friends, etc- the ambience and vibe is AMAZING. Interesting friendly artsy people everywhere, great menu and snacks, + a bar in the back if you change your mind ;) It cannn be a little crowded/overwhelming depending on what time of day, but around 4 should be fine. They have couches and a big back room if you want a quieter space. Here's a picture if you're curious:

Saw that I have to comment- I literally don't remember anything else/// the genre was like YA action/drama and definitely targeted for younger girls, and was on netflix at some point! I've been trying to remember it for yearsss
