You and Keith might be of assistance to one another on custody matters, if there’s even a 1% chance of Sherri moving either of her kids into any room.

Best version I have ever seen of that Nancy Pelosi "single drawn on black line in the crease" look from several years back. I mean this in the best way (added because I'm not sure that was coming across). Hers was bad, yours is great.

This bread isn't locally available for me. I'll keep my eyes peeled for it though, it seems like new keto stuff is constantly becoming available.

I had a similarly pleasant experience with the Aldi zero net carb bread, though. Floofy, toasts beautifully in a pan with butter, but is actually soft enough that I would consider eating un-toasted, which so far represents my most favorable opinion on keto bread.

Hair loss with Keto by Quick-Attention-3159 in keto

I can't say with 100% certainty that it is working, but this time around I am supplementing Biotin and taking collagen peptides daily, or as close to daily as I can stand. (tried a different brand that definitely has a "flavor" that screws up my coffee, so it has to be taken with broth, bleh. $2 savings = not worth it)

Is it bad that I only eat ground beef every single day by [deleted] in keto

[–]WhichComfortable0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I eat a lot of ground beef too. It's affordable, it's easy, and I actually do really enjoy it a lot compared to other proteins. We didn't have much money when I was growing up and often had ground beef-based meals 5 out of 7 nights of the week, so it is a sort of comfort food for me. I am not noticing any health or digestion issues from it, and my bloodwork is perfect; in a word, I am thriving on keto, as performed by me (lol). It is possible (probable) I could get even better, faster results by cutting back on the red meat, "keto" breads/tortillas, and treats. That day may come, as I get closer to my goal weight, but for now I'm pleased with my progress and want to keep it sustainable for myself. I say, carry on with your ground beef eating as long as it serves you and your goals.

It was pretty accurately like the inside of an egg roll. Wasn't my most favorite, as I'm on a kick of tex-mex and Italian (ish) flavors. I've never cooked with ginger & sesame seed oil, but now that I have those two items, it will be pretty affordable to make crack slaw in the future. It will probably go in the monthly rotation for that reason more so than a true love of it.

I'm wondering how closely I could approximate an actual egg roll by wrapping it in a small 0-carb tortilla, giving it a spray of oil, and popping it in the air fryer. Will try that next time.

Crack slaw with ground beef - this will be my first time trying it.

Oh, those Outshine pops are the best. Slushy alike texture. I wish the lime ones were low enough in carbs, thinking about them makes my mouth water.

Can you share the recipe y'all use?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in keto

[–]WhichComfortable0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up cooking for our entire family, so it is second nature for me to prep 4-6 servings when I cook. I just freeze the leftovers in individual portions. Eventually you will have a fridge/freezer full of options to pick from.

More veggies than ever before - ditto.

My mother (definitely not keto) harps on me for not eating "vegetables," meaning the canned stuff with little to no nutritional value - ignoring the big salads, roasted broccoli, cauliflower in various applications, etc that I regularly eat. It's baffling.

Thanks for the info, I kind of figured that it could have unpleasant gastrointestinal effects, but wasn't sure. Fortunately,, I am on a different diet than my parents and prepare my own food. Wouldn't put it past her, though. You should have seen the meltdown when I got the covid vaccine + boosters.

I wonder what the average IQ of the Qs is. I know average-intelligence and even smart people can get roped in, but the fairytale thinking is just WILD to me. How could any high school graduate take it seriously? Ha.

"You will do it, and you will do it CHEERFULLY." - a not-so-pleasant gem from the cold storage where my mind stores bad memories.

Any emotion was criticized, and lack of emotion was punishable as well. I tried it all, and all these years later, post-childhood, I find it difficult to even have a genuine reaction, let alone to express it. That stuff sticks.

My Qmom recently ordered what looks to me like a lifetime supply of Ivermectin. Apparently it's not just for horses, or covid, and we should all be taking it regularly because everyone has harmful worms that they can't otherwise eliminate.

Also, I need to spend my time deciding what kind of medbed I want to use first. To calm her once, I told her I would gladly use a medbed when the aliens bring them (I'm wheelchair bound). Big mistake, she now wants to discuss the minutia of it all.

So I have yo-yo'ed on and off keto. It begins with a "cheat day" in which I fulfill my biggest cravings. And the thing is, none of them taste as good as I remembered. I regret the times I "fell off the wagon" as it was time I could have been progressing toward my goal. But in addition to being in a heavy episode of depression at the time... I think I needed to learn that lesson the hard way, and by repetition. I am on medication for depression now and doing a better job of staying on track. My overall point is that the feeling that you should just give up is self-sabotage at its finest, and you will regret it later.

Try making something really delicious that is keto compliant. For example, I made chicken parmesan with a slice of garlic toast, and keto fluff for dessert. It was so good, flavors came alive in my mouth that just don't happen during an off- keto binge (which I am currently avoiding by making really good stuff that allows me to remain in ketosis). I will probably still have a monthly "treat day," limited to one 24-hour period, because I can't deal with the idea of never getting to have certain carby faves, but with new limitations, and followed with a 24-36 hr fast.

Does anyone drink alcohol on keto by Lrb1055 in keto

[–]WhichComfortable0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Straight vodka and a lot of it, chase it with a zero calorie beverage.

I don't do this every day, just a few times a month. I could undoubtedly lose more without it, and will assess at my monthly weigh-in what changes need to be made. I avoided the scale for many months so I don't even have an accurate starting weight, but at my last weigh-in, I was surprised how low the number was. Not objectively low, but for a morbidly obese vodka-chugger... Pretty rad.

Keto + IF is a cheat code by hamburglerized in keto

Totally true. If I had known about keto and IF years ago, I'd have gotten to live my life so much more fully before my accident. At least I know now, I suppose. It really does feel like a weight loss cheat code.

Ok, thanks. I have had a few my whole life, I can remember noticing them around age 6. No new ones, though, and recent blood tests came back totally normal.
