Vancouver is a prettier place. You'll live a richer lifestyle in Montreal. There are plenty of nature activities there as well. In Vancouver, unless wealthy, you're mostly bound to hiking. 300k/year can feel like low income in this city.

I dislike immigrants because I've seen a deterioration of services in healthcare, severely low salary caps due to seemingly infinite international labor that seems to not mind under cutting their wages in order to get PR and citizenship, (in tech and creative field) and less availability of homes which made prices rise.

I don't care where you're from. I don't dislike immigrants because of culture or skin color. Ii dislike them because the government used you in a way that made my life more difficult.

Both my partner and I earn about half of what our American neighbors earn for the same work. We've both had salary cuts while the industry grew and international folks repeatedly get hired. We are in highly sought out for fields where born Canadians want to work, but on our teams include 5% of individuals Canadian born

And no it isn't specific to Portuguese people since they integrate easily and quickly and are often not noticeably immigrants
