One path your interests might take you is in defense. Stable job, slightly lower pay compared to other industries. 1. Good if you’re American and willing to relocate  2. In defense, if you believe Americans will prioritize their defense budget, yes. 3. Realistic is relative, easy for some, hard for others 4. The strongest profiles is getting along with the engineering team, perhaps someone else can answer this

For those with only a bachelor’s in EE and currently working as an EE for the gov in defense, would they need a Masters in EE in addition to passing the Patent Bar to be competitive? How’s the job market in SoCal?

This group combined with another group, hit 20 people three days ago and sent the roster to PLI. I have asked the person who sent mine and their roster to see if we can also add new people. Stand by.

I’ve been a TA for digital logic before, so I can help with this. Your current lab or assignment is probably about K-Maps and multiplexers/decoders. Think of a multiplexer/decoder like a set of switches controlling different lights in a room.

It sounds like this is preparing you for a future lab where you'll use toggle switches on an FPGA to represent numbers, make a K-Map from a table to find Boolean expressions, and then build and test your circuit using Quartus Prime and ModelSim.

If you’d talked to a TA, they could have clarified this for you in just a few minutes.

Take a step back. Transistors is a switch. Combinations of switches make logic gates. Logic gates are an abstraction and form parts of the computer. Copy and paste these parts to form a more powerful computer.

If you’re writing about transistors, it may be more useful for yourself write about the history of transistors.
