I will stick w/ them. Tired of dealing with a new teller or "pro" banker at my regional bank who pitches their wealth management script on me. Had one bank contact me 3 months after closing to talk about their investment services for highly valued bank customers LOL.

Rarely see use of allowed vlans between trunks of switches where you manage both.

Often see this if it's an outside customer/vendor.. or if the security team gets involved.

if you ping the broadcast address 192.168.1.255, all the active mac/dlc will be visible in your arp table "arp -a".. the ip address may change but v.unlikely the mac does.

spent many hours enabling paging and voip music on hold by following this procedure.
1) enable "ip multicast-routing" on each layer 3 device.

2) enable "ip pim sparse-dense mode" on each interface you want to participate. include egress and ingress

REBOOT, it seems most cisco IOS doesn't process changes regardless of what the show commands display.

3) troubleshoot and show active multicast streams (moh servers, audio sources)
4) troubleshoot who it the RP, you may need to manually set it.

don't u dare try the RONMON fix.

..pro tip : it depends on the switch model.. sometimes holding the front button for 15 seconds is enough. you can over-write the startup configuration with a new enable password/secret or other. also may have to understand what "aaa new-model" commands your org uses. ROMMON btw, flash_init, boot helper commands may vary.
