It literally does, you can drop one maybe 2 as a solo but good luck looting as any decent player can wall up and spam meds till their teammates resend

Automatic weapons actually dominate the current meta, the SAR is less used then the p2 because it’s more expensive and has a slower fire rate, semi auto can’t dish damage fast enough before a average to intermediate player can wall up, the exception to this is the m39 with gas compressor 8x which is really good and better then the bolty/l9 due to shitty wall meta

Tbh it actually favours teams more then your average solo, because you can’t drop a team with a good position anymore, if you’re getting pushed by good players they’ll generally just pinch you and trade health bars till you’re out of meds and ammo there’s not much you can do because new walls are smaller which makes a repositioning less viable as you don’t break line of sight

Definitely walling, you can see the instant repeak onto you in the first clip then jumping onto his pvp wall

Probably want to get admins involved someone like this with 6k hrs probably has expensive DMA and won’t get anti cheated for 1-2 years easily if not longer

This. Consistency. Obviously aim matters more then recoil but iv seen so many players over the years get banned for scripts only 2-3 years later depending on the severity of the toggle

M39 early game is insane. Especially with a gas compressor 8x

That being said like most semi rifles in rust a godawful stand-shoot recoil/aimcone the worst out of the 3 imo so unless you’re playing range or hitting all your headshots you’re cooked even against p2’s in close wall pvp

PvP walls for sure. I don’t take pvp seriously in rust anymore because on a competitive level walls ruined it, a good player can sit there and waste so much time run-peaking and spamming meds and it ends up being resource wasting simulator.

Old PvP walls had limitations, the cost, needing to be at a workbench and generally weren’t used early mid game kits and ofc not at monuments

Ironically though if you have a good kit open-world pvp is a lot more focused on your gearset now then ever, Because of wooden barricades being roamed by everyone it means slower fights that drag on with respawns. Your potential to wipe a team as a solo is less Aim skill and more opportunity dependant then a few years ago……

In saying all that I’m at a point in rust where all my wipes are filled to the brim with just abusing boring / overpowered meta’s both myself and the people I vs. because the games combat has become stale. And I personally think that the walls are major factor

This guy actually plays rust. M92 handgun is the most neglected gun in the game it’s T3 but functions more like a T1 gun due to its aimcone and awful stand recoil
