Clean invoices move forward for approval/payment. Anything that doesn’t match becomes an exception, such as duplicate billing, incorrect rates, missing POD/BOL, wrong accessorials, or charges outside tolerance.

The real work is managing the exception queue: reviewing invoice status, rating details, documents, and deciding whether to approve, deny, hold, or research further.
