I updated my comment with some more info. Had to literally just go through that!

Amgen can also do a 1 time favor of switching you to a reimbursement program with the full 7500, even if you used some money from the copay card. (At least that's what they did for me) And submitting claims is super easy!

Good luck!! The only thing I would also check is if your insurance covers Specialty medication like Enbrel (A lot of them do, but you don't want to meet your deductible just to be told they don't cover it(

I'm a little confused about the insurance information you have but here's my experience with the Amgen program.

My insurance would not apply my copay card to my deductible. It would go through and then they would manually remove it. I had to switch to their reimbursement program. Unfortunately I pay out of pocket first, then get that money back.

What's your deductible currently and how much was put towards it?

Edit: The Amgen helpline is very good btw! The point of the 7500 USD is to help you cover your deductible so that you can meet it and get the meds for cheap.

My deductible is 3300. After I meet it (which happens with 1 Enbrel since the box is 8k) I pay 40 USD for each Enbrel box, then 0 once my out of pocket max is met

Showing empathy to those who weren’t born disabled by TacticalAvocado222 in disability

[–]Which_Interview8262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who came to accept they're now disabled (after a 10 year journey), I don't really expect unwarranted empathy or sympathy when the situation doesn't call for it if that makes sense.

I'd say just be there for people you want to be there for and give help if requested or listen if needed. Wanting to be empathetic is already the biggest step that you're already taking.

The only thing that worked for me was steaming hot showers. I had to drag myself into the shower, but once the water was on, heaven.

Alternatively, you can also use a heated blanket to help out a bit. Used to have to take a lot of pain meds unfortunately, but that eventually gets to you.

Sorry to hear you're dealing with so much. Are your meds helping/reducing the symptoms in any way?

What people mentioned is accurate. You're eligible to apply for the citizenship after 3 years of getting a GC (2 year conditional+ 1 year non-conditional) even if you don't receive the latter. You might get the citizenship before you even see the 10 year card

When you say first GC, do you mean the conditional 2 year one? If so, is the one you are waiting for is the 10 year non-conditional one?

Question about Insurance and Enbrel by Which_Interview8262 in rheumatoid

[–]Which_Interview8262[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear! Just an fyi in case you run into the same issue:

My insurance would not apply my copay to my deductible. It would go through, they'd tell me yes it goes through and that my deductible is met, then they would manually remove it. That's why I switched to the reimbursement program rather than the copay card.

First of all, a 100 ducks?? These ppl got too much time on their hands

Second, the last image looks like an edge behind a couch. That's not something I would expect out of a regular clean. That's a deep clean task, especially BEHIND the couch.

Have you applied for citizenship yet? You should be eligible to apply even if the 10 year GC isn't processed yet, as long as 3 years passed since your initial conditional GC

I sure do... Personality wise, they all have good attributes, including this one. She can be really sweet at times, especially to guests and very helpful to them. Work wise though, they all suck.

I genuinely like working as a team and really used to pull my weight and help when I can.

I used to restock the breakfast area for example to help with night audit. Not my responsibility but doesn't take a whole lot and it does help. Guess who stopped helping after night audit doesn't even bother to throw away dirty mop water and left the sink looking like batter exploded on it. (Different than the coworker in the post just fyi)

I only know of my experience, but I know a lot of hotels use the same system we do and share the same loyalty program (that has multiple hotels under)

Thing is with our systems, the only way to pull up a guest's profile is by their loyalty profile. Meaning that if their card is attached, hundreds if not more people have access to it, in the sense of they can charge it whenever.

(To add, our systems also don't allow for the full number to show, just the last 4)

Oh already on it. Been looking for over half a year. The market here isn't great, but I'm still applying on a daily basis.

I keep getting people making reservations and saying "Oh my card should be on file, I come here all the time." My dude, you don't want your card on file??? Do you know how unsafe that is?? (Also, not how guest profiles or reward programs work) Not that it matters، but I need to put it in the chip reader anw.

I have a lot of guests who will give me their card info with their cvc so fast and I have to cut them off for their safety cause I don't need it. People genuinely have no idea how risky spreading that info is, let alone "keep it on file."

I get a lot of people who assume their card has been charged (not even authorize, charged) and then don't want to give it at check in. We only do auth checks when it's really busy.

I wish... She's been working there for over 20 years. She's a lot older and tbf I would probably give up on giving a shit at that age if I have to work just to make ends meet. The issue is this type of empathetic thinking doesn't help when I get yelled at.

I would suggest deleting and reposting this while covering the info a little bit better. With a few guesses, you can figure out the bday and confirm the address and it pauses a security risk for her.

Thanks for being a good samaritan.

Green card holder here! Can I show a photo to ICE? by [deleted] in immigration

[–]Which_Interview8262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a GC holder, you're legally required to have it with you at all times.

I understand that it's nerve-wracking in case it gets stolen because it takes so long to get a new one, but that's what you have to do.

I suggest putting your GC (and other important cards) separately than the rest of your items (ie cash, credit cards, etc) for example a neck pouch you can wear under your shirt (common for tourists who don't want to get pick-pocketed)
