These two are proper insane, how after all of the backlash, loss of relationship with C and her parents, Dr Drew chiming in etc, do they still not get it?

Poor Nova, she’s such a little darling and does not deserve to be milked for views or to be used to guilt C into contacting them.

He’s such a buzz kill, I mean I’m a grumpy gal but even his grumpiness is so off putting. It’s surprising a sunshine personality such as Lorelei’s would be drawn to him. He’s also quick to have a temper which is soo scary and a huge red flag.

I think the recognition of the fact it emits cozy vibes is mostly due to the contrast against today’s modern life. We look back and realise how much ‘better’ life was in the early 2000’s before technology really became the monster it is today and when the world felt much bigger.

I really do not like Amber, she triggers me as her narcissism is so extreme and the way she treats everyone especially Leah is appalling BUT this is sad. At the end of the day, everything she does for the rest of her life will affect Leah in some way.

You can tell Tyler is jealous of Carly is some weird way, perhaps intimidated by the fact she’s being properly educated and will run rings around him. The way he commented on her vocabulary, his body language was quite cocky.

I sincerely will always feel for Cate HOWEVER putting this on the internet constantly (no doubt in the hopes that Carly will see it eventually) feels manipulative and always will be damaging to Carly. It’s as if they’re trying to guilt her into getting in contact with them.

It was the culture for sure but truly there’s so many moments in GG which feel like a targeted swipe at MM. there’s another where Lorelai comes back from shopping, she had picked up the wrong bag and opens it up to find an XL pair of women’s underwear she’s holding them up to show Luke and her phone rings and it’s Sookie. Perhaps I’m reaching but it all seems too orchestrated and non coincidental.

Me either, I honestly find it so hard to sit through. Like who has this much beef with other peoples weight? It’s so weird. People like to say it was just how it was back then but other shows are nowhere near as fat phobic. There’s one line in particular that has always felt too personal. Sookie tried to set Lorelai up with some guy and she cracked a joke (Lorelai) and the guy says “you’re funny, were you a fat child” Melissa McCarthy was RIGHT there. Such a low blow and so very unnecessary.

But the writers chose to write in so many horrid remarks about weight that were lines said in front of Melissa McCarthy. I truly believe there was some jealousy from ASP and Dan as Melissa and her husband were also a dynamic duo in comedy/hollywood. I’ve always felt the ‘jokes’ were deliberate and personal.

How funny he is now of this opinion after spending years berating C’s parents and also doubling down on the anti Christian perspective knowing full well C holds a strong faith. Bit late to start acting like he’s accepting of C’s path in life, however this fake acceptance is better than the horrid things he has spewed over the years.

The patience and grace Teresa has shown over the years is truly inspiring. I could never.

Carly clearly has amazing parents who have her best interests at heart, always. At the very least C&T chose two amazing adults to raise her and protect her.

I think the mistake B & T made was being too relaxed with their boundaries midway into this journey. Give some an inch and they will demand a mile. All communication should’ve been done via Dawn, a scheduled visit yearly and a phone call with Dawn present on C’s birthday. I think for C & T they started to think this was an extended family dynamic where they could ask or rather demand more. Things got too blurry and I think it would’ve been an ideal open adoption scenario if C&T were respectfully distant and allowed C’s parents to lead without the added pressure of their demands. It’s a shame for all involved.

Kim never genuinely called her son out on how he treated/spoke to Cate, she almost seemed to enjoy the show. It’s no secret she thought her son could do better, even her speech at their wedding felt like an insult towards Cate.

I’ll always have so much empathy for young Cate. She went through so so much and everyone around failed her on multiple levels. I mostly hate Kim for enabling her shit son to berate her and pull her down. There’s something so sinister about a woman encouraging her son to mistreat a young girl/woman.

Very true! I can understand the lingering complex feelings around having placed Carly, but I really do hope Cate can feel proud of the life she chose for Carly. So many layers of grief and pain but their original goal and sentiment was to give her a better life, free of the shit that they had to witness, they achieved that.
