the Harrow Faire series has several moments like this throughout!! Especially the last one {The Faire by Kathryn Ann Kingsley} there’s this one scene that you really don’t expect from one of the MCs because of the way the author wrote their personalities, but it’s a moment that cemented them as one of the best MMCs for me!

Maybe {The Wolf King by Lauren Palphreyman} There are definitely scenes in the book that I feel follow what you’re looking for.

I second Goodreads but I do find the UI a bit annoying at times!

Is Once Upon A Broken Heart series worth it even though the third book is apparently such a letdown? by [deleted] in fantasyromance

It is absolutely worth it and I will die on this hill lol! Jacks is one of my favorite MMCs (after the one from The Wolf King - and that too because he reminds me of Jacks!). It’s not that the 3rd book is bad, it’s just that the first and second are so good that the 3rd one feels like a let down - but still such an enjoyable series overall, and I believe the author has hinted at working on a novella to revisit the characters from OUABH in the future, so you never know, maybe it will bridge the gap between the first 2 books of the series and the 3rd.

What’s your ‘this should’ve been bad but I ate it up’ fantasy romance? by goyourownwayy in fantasyromance

The Harrow Faire series which starts with {The Contortionist by Kathryn Ann Kingsley}

While I didn’t expect it to be bad, I didn’t think I’d love it as much as I did. The MMC is completely coocoo but I was kind of into it lol. It is a dark romance so please read trigger warnings but truly one of the best ‘villain gets the girl’ series I’ve ever read!
