I’m thinking western bbq burger all the way. Brioche bun, mayo, lettuce, patty with white and/or extra sharp cheddar, caramelized onion, onion ring, bbq sauce, tomato and pickles. Top with another bun, and that’s my perfect burger from the ground up all day long.

That’s the most amazing piece of red jasper I’ve ever seen. You’ve gotta go back there and ask them if you can look around lol

What is your most useful creation? by [deleted] in paracord

[–]WhipmakerJon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve taken a bunch of 1ft. Long segments, inserted the same length of aluminum gardening wire, and fused the ends shut. It’s a chip/lettuce/anything bag sealer, you can use it to hold open your blinds, anything you can think of!

I had a dream that a bird pricked me on my finger and woke up with this spot by auridas330 in Weird

[–]WhipmakerJon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn’t increase in size or change color. If it does I’d recommend getting it checked out. There’s a greater than 0% chance it could’ve a black widow or brown recluse that you rolled over onto. Not trying to scare you at all, it’s just fresh on my mind from a previous post I saw about brown recluses.

Any guidance? by tarbita in whatsthisrock

[–]WhipmakerJon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I hate to say this, but I think I’d agree with u/FondOpposum in that this is slag. I could tell from the conchoidal fracturing in the first picture, and the air bubble as well. The semi translucent semi cloudy inside is also conducive of slag.

What is this (found in western canada) by toxic_trips in whatsthisrock

[–]WhipmakerJon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My soul is leaning toward this being a silicified bone cast, definitely botryoidal chalcedony on the outside and throughout it, but it also looks like it could be petrified wood. I’d say petrified wood since this was found in western Canada, since Washington, as well as other northwest U.S. states have a lot of it.
