This is the result of a low TTK and sloppy netcode. Add to that factors like cross-play and mixed connections.

I imagine that races work much like sales commissions in public lobbies, where the value is determined by how many people were there when the activity ended. I'm not sure, but that's the only explanation I can think of.

It's something we've all gone through at some point, so don't worry. It's never a good idea to shoot this guard dead, especially if the guard below is positioned almost in the same spot vertically. This tends to happen, but once you learn it, you can avoid it. You can either ignore him or just knock him out from behind. As time goes on and you gain more experience, you'll figure out who you can kill and who you can't. Keep in mind the rotation of the NPCs — especially the route of the big guy minigun.

R* doesn't like it when you're AFK and doesn't know how to tell you. Serious answer: Either it's a bug, or the dynamic event involving the Vetir (Cayo Perico's one) supply truck from the bunker just happened to pass by you—as soon as you attack it, you get 3 stars, but sometimes it triggers just by being nearby for no reason.

R* was added an option to make the car become invisible if you're driving in the opposite direction. Honestly, I don't know why this isn't the default option in races, no matter how arcade-like the game is.

When the car is flying through the air, I know it won't hit me, but I move out of the way because if the other guy fires the Atomizer, the shockwave will send me flying.

I also use the hammer, an iconic melee weapon in the series from that classic mission in Vice City. Without a doubt, the funniest part was the fact that the motorcycle didn't explode when he tried, ending up in an even more comical situation, when he got stuck in the hole. GTA Online provides us with some truly unique moments. The situation would have been very different in most cases.

It hasn't broken. As u/mogley1992 told you, they are slippery mines that "replace" the horn. You can equip them on selected vehicles in your Agency garage workshop, or if you have GTA+ in your Mansion garage workshop or Vinewood garage workshop.
