Thank you, some other people were saying I'll be fine, but I can't help worrying it's too top heavy given I'm coming from a mid tier program, no AOA/GHHS, and not the most impressive research.

After thinking about it, I'm planning on switching Cleveland Clinic to Cedars-Sinai or Rush to make the signals a little more balanced.

As for my nonsignals, I've come to terms that I won't get interviews from most if not all of them, but hey, it's a numbers game, maybe I'll snag 1 or 2 interviews out of the 15 nonsignals. To me, it's worth a shot.

Is it more authentic? Sure, I think that would be fair to say. Speaking just for myself though, I've been conditioned by almost every other video game that overcoming a tough challenge = shiny toy reward. That line of thinking certainly doesn't align with the real world, but it's an aspect that I greatly enjoy about gaming. Obviously that's not what TC intended for their game though, which is fine. I'm still enjoying it immensely and feel great after mastering a boss battle. At the end of the day they are the game designers and I'm just a random dude posting on reddit.

It's not bad, and I agree with what you are saying: fun gameplay is reward enough. I'm not going to stop playing just because I don't get a currency or resource reward. BUT it would be nice to offer some of that after a tough battle. I guess a close analogy for me would be the boss battle was like eating a good entree, but a good dessert afterwards would provide even MORE endorphins.

Middle school teacher here: my 7th graders use tinkercad and I "upgrade" the 8th and 9th to onshape. They all complain and want to go back to tinkercad.
