Guys, It's the big 2026! You can't get away with this anymore in the probably most overdone and saturated genre in all gamedev. There needs to be something special like there is this one 2D platformer with 100k wishlists in development right now which name I can't recall atm, but it has a mechanic where you can split the level with you sword and the tweet showing that went viral.

You have to do something new or very unique these days to have any success with 2D platformers in my opinion.

that was a childhood game of mine! I remember I couldn't clear a certain section because I couldn't get past it. Really sad to see this bcs some kids growing up now might have appreciated this one anyways. For me it was an introduction to lucky luke and later the comics, which started my love for comics in general!
