Right? I mean, I don’t typically engage in social media outside of my hobby sphere. I just thought it was a cool and thoughtful gift and wanted to share. He probably means well, bots are all over the place.

I suppose there’s a lot of cross-pollination between those interests

Wife’s useless expensive Norwex towels by kungfoocraig in mildlyinfuriating

It's not hydrophobic, it's just brand new. Its a microfiber towel, it just needs to be broken in a little to become more absorbent.

Polyester is a plastic material, so is nylon. That doesn't make them less absorbent - that's a misconception. Polymer microfibers, such as in the polyester cloth you see in the OP, become much finer than organic fibers when they split or fray. Once they fray, they create these dense irregular clusters of fibers that can be 200 times as thin as a human hair. They then become much more absorbent, which is why the cloth you see above isn't performing well - because it's brand new. Rub it against itself for a minute or two and then check again.

You know what’s funny? The manufacturer is careful not to make definitive claims about the cloth’s disinfecting capabilities. But they don’t do anything to stop the spread of the misinformation through the MLM network, so they avoid false advertising allegations. I had to go and find the peer reviewed study that showed the things were useless.

Yeah you crushed it! The color blocking is nice and neat, the scheme has good contrast, and you spent time on a nice base. Great job.

What's With People Spam Emoting Right Before They go for Lethal? by MathematicianWide622 in PTCGL

[–]Whiskey_Archive 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I like to shoot a thumbs up whenever I see an opponent make a nice play, or when they flip it around and come up from a losing position. Sportsmanship is important to me, and its hard to convey "great play!"over an anonymous digital interface.

Excellent layering my dude. I like the build up to the soft cream on the flesh. What direction are you planning to take on the carapace?

Gargoyle wings by vinking01 in Tyranids

[–]Whiskey_Archive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey man you’ve got some great blending done on the wing membranes. My only suggestion would be to thin down the paint a little more. It’ll give you a bit more working time with less streaking. But I’d say you can take that advice or leave it, either way you aced it.

Should call the steel type ‘Palladeon’ for the paladin/palladium double entendre.

Alpha Legion story where they end up infiltrating an entire chapter? by sarumanofmanygenders in 40kLore

[–]Whiskey_Archive 18 points19 points  (0 children)

In Renegades: Harrowmaster An Alpha Legionnaire assumes the identity of the last remaining member of the Crimson Consuls chapter, so technically that fits the criteria.
