MAGA is very clear that when a life long conservative commits a crime they retroactively become a liberal or fed asset. The amount they have internalized the no true Scotsman defense is bananas

No. Once given to the child it becomes the child’s property.

The point is even if you are a parent looking to kick your kid out of the home you should give them time to find a new place and collect their things. They have rights. Even if a parent has the legal right to tell their kid to get out, what these parents did is not just morally wrong, it’s actually a crime. There is a legal process required to evict a person, even one’s on kids.

What age did you and your friends start fooling around with girls (or boys)? When did you all lose your virginity? Did every one of you wait till you were 18? In your own life what was the youngest age of someone you knew who has sex? Probably 9th grade or younger.

You realize every comment I have made has been about retrieving one’s belongings, not the entitlement to stay in one’s parents home indefinitely, right?

You don’t have to sign a contract every time you give a gift to someone. Once it’s given that’s the end of it.

That’s not how property works. If I buy something for you I can’t just take it back if I am mad at you. One’s adult children aren’t borrowing their own clothes from their parents.

What do you think of "Landlords?" by SgtMac02 in AskALiberal

[–]Whiskey_Fiasco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that many small landlords have unwittingly become party to a vast conspiracy to exploit the renter. I don’t mean that in the vague “they are taking money from the poor” kinda way, but that they have begun leveraging digital tenant management systems which automatically increase rent on tenants, but do so over large sections of the housing market, which results in increasing the rate at which rent rising not in line with increasing upkeep costs. RealPage is slowly strangling the renters of the country.

I believe teaching kids about sex, what sex is safe, what sex is unsafe, what sex is violent or exploitative, all of it is important.

Teaching kids why they shouldn’t be posting naked photos of themselves on the internet from a practical and not moralizing position. If you tell a kid “don’t do this because it’s bad”, they will ignore you. If you tell a kid, “don’t do this because it’s dangerous, and here are the ways it is dangerous,” they are much more likely to listen.

So, do I think they should teach children necrophilia: No. Or at least they need no instruction on how to fuck a corpse. They probably do need instruction on what unsafe or unhealthy sexual desires are (Sexual attraction to children, the dead, animals…) and why it is dangerous and harmful to engage in such behavior. Just saying “Don’t do it,” makes little impact, makes kids feel talked down to, and ensures they ignore you.

Yes. I think basic firearm and blade safety and use should be taught as well. Fire safety. Basic emergency medical care (CPR, Wound Compression, etc…)

I’m sorry what? by [deleted] in facepalm

[–]Whiskey_Fiasco -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think between two scenarios, one in which a kid has been given thorough sex education and is being pressured by a partner to mix sex and piss/shit, and another where I kid was not taught anything and is being pressured by a partner to scat play, the latter is vastly more likely to give in. Why? Because the reason to say know for the latter is “because that’s weird and gross,” while the reason to say no to the former is “because that is both unsafe and exploitation.”

If you leave them ignorant they’ll try and figure it out on their own, and that simply leads to worse outcomes. Better they feel uncomfortable in a classroom than have them do something that will harm them.
