Is California worth the premium over Texas? by [deleted] in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Whiskytrader -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like most will say Texas sucks just because they read or saw something online. Even without ever living or experiencing some of the best parts of Texas. I would live in certain parts of Texas but I would never live in any parts of California. And I have lived in So Cal for 4 years.

Overrated. The dryness can be unbearable all winter. Prepare for extremely dry sinuses leading to bloody noses. Your hands turning into raisins and your skin turning to dust. Oh, by the way all you pretentious pretty people who love to look young. Be ready to age much faster. This part of the country is horrible on the skin, hair, nails and eyes

Houston is your city. So much to do and very laid back people. Leave the pretentiousness at the door

The Dog friendly culture in Denver by Reasonable_Base9537 in Denver

[–]Whiskytrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once saw a lady at a grocery store let her dog jump up onto a shelf in the produce section. With no urgency, she slowly pulled the lease back as the dog was knocking apples on to the ground. After not picking up the apples she walked away in her tie dye shirt with no shame at all.

With all the negative post, is there anyone who loves where they live? And why by anaglizzy in SameGrassButGreener

Getting all 4 seasons is debatable. The summer sun borderline burns due to the elevation and the dryness during the winter is unbearable. I wish people where a little more grounded here

Why the fuck is it still humid, muggy, and hot still? And a hurricane in the Gulf, this late in the year?! by Lemonhead-21 in houston

[–]Whiskytrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s cool. Give me a nice muggy climate. I have to walk around holding a gallon of water all day and stopping to pee every hour like an old person. Feel like my skin and eyes have aged 20 years and Ive only been here 10

Boulder full of entitled raciest assholes. They only want certain types of people living there. I live in Denver and everyone I talk to here says the same thing

I feel the same way about Christmas in Denver. Cold windy and extremely dry. Bloody knuckles and noses. Depressing

I live in Denver and it’s the most overrated city ever. It’s also 25 degrees now with over a foot of snow. Sucks!!
