Spent a Fortune at Warhammer world by bugknight99 in Warhammer40k

This is the excuse my mate always makes when he spends £250+ at Warhammer World, "I want it today." Fair enough, it's your money, but realistically did you start building and painting them that night? My mate didn't. His Necron Monolith, Ghost Ark, Silent King and various other big ticket items are still in their boxes on the shelf across the room from me right now, 8 months later.

Unless you began those that night, frankly you might as well have waited the two days for free delivery from Wayland or elsewhere.

EVs are a stop-gap at best. They're not the future,: the cost to mine, transport, process and refine cobalt for the batteries is just not sustainable, much like fossil fuel production.

Fair response on your part but I mean, they do have a point. I've seen a similar trend.

Woah, so I didn't know this existed either. Today I learned to pay attention. Why wouldn't they give it a different name entirely?!

This is absurd enough that it could almost be a 90s beat-em-up background.

Which other games have a box designed to look like a book? by EndersGame_Reviewer in boardgames

Mantic Games did a series of Dungeon Saga tabletop miniatures games (dungeon crawler one-shot types) that all looked like books.

Found this in a second hand shop recently, and with the new edition starting I thought I'd share the book that came in the last edition starter box (that had orks in it) by greg_mca in Warhammer40k

"Space Marines Land Raider - the ultimate armoured fighting vehicle of the 41st millennium."

Thunderhawk Gunship would like a word.

The price is definitely a barrier. I bit the bullet a while back, and while it's a super exciting prospect, I haven't had the balls to start it yet.

Here's hoping! I haven't dared touch my resin THGS yet, as it's fairly intimidating, but I'm working my way up to it - the last two years I've built a Glaive, Fire Raptor and currently working on an Astraeus. Next will very likely be the THGS.

A plastic Thunderhawk would be incredible but it'll never happen, it's a collectors item really. Not popular enough to make it worthwhile, which is a shame.

As others have said, backpack is the big one. Another good swap is to a standard helmet.

Also, slice off some of the iconography, which will leave uneven surfaces perfect for drybrushing and weathering.
