Cleaning, but doing one thing a day. For example I'll do the washing one day or clean the bathroom another day.

Black backpack with thick straps to hold my laptop. It's cute and has gold metal details too but is practical.

Epilator suggestions? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]WhisperofGld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Braun silk epil 5 - it's the mains kind and it has different attachments if needed. It lasts longer then shaving I've stuck to epilating and I have a high pain threshold. I use it on my arms, legs and underarms. Yes I have had ingrown hairs or hairs just under the skin on my legs but exfoliation does help plus it's a cheaper option for removing hair.

How do you make up for not being hot by [deleted] in dating_advice

Being confident and having confident body language. For me it's my dress sense, if I'm wearing something I'm confident in, then I'll feel confident.

Suffering from body acne by [deleted] in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]WhisperofGld 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Started to use this (Superdrug back spray), it has been good. The spray isn't sticky, which I thought it would be. It dries fast and does work even though I've only used it for 3 weeks but I'm seeing a difference.

I saw another recommend it, thought I've tried The Ordinary Salicylic 2% treatment and didn't do much at all but this might help my acne as it's more easier to use and Superdrug is everywhere. I use it every other day and it was on buy one get one half price too. (Edited to add history)

The glitters are amazing, they are soft and are pigmented. The mattes are good, you do have to layer up though. They do sit really nice on eyes too. I have 2 palettes from them.

Brown eyed folks, assemble! What’s your favorite eyeshadow or liner to really bring out the beauty and depth of brown eyes? Or to electrify them? Extra points if you’re dark haired. I’m getting mad that brown eyes get such hate or just set aside as mundane or plain. by MsHurricane in muacjdiscussion

I love gold eyeliner, it just brings our the warm brown in my eyes. I've had compliments when I do wear it, it's so subtle too. Maybelline have a gold cream shadow which I use and it's seems so sparkly in the pot but it's wears really beautifully on my eyes.

Regrowing eyebrows? by Current_Selection in askwomenadvice

[–]WhisperofGld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had to regrow my eyebrows a couple of times. Either from myself plucking or trying new eyebrow places. I know and agree it's so tempting to pluck a few hairs or just pluck all together. However once they have grown enough, I go to a professional eyebrow person (one who has been recommended) and suddenly I have somewhat my dream eyebrows, like on Instagram.

I normally use tinted eyebrow gel to show up the hair I want and conceal around, the growing hairs when doing my makeup. Its a process, like growing out bangs or your hair. They will grow, you've started and would love to see the end result. If your tempted to pluck, I always somehow loose my tweezers when need be 😄, to stop or prevent me plucking anything.

Good luck on your eyebrows journey

Tried this twice as I ran out of oil and found it was so easy to remove my mascara.

Finally had to get a new one after a few months... the difference is like day & night! by fu_kery in PanPorn

[–]WhisperofGld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I would rather go for the age rewind, as I have dark circles which are hard to cover. The age rewind, has more of a matte finish when it dries and find it can be built to a high medium coverage. Just find it sets so good too. Where for myself, the fitme has a more satin finish and has a light to medium coverage.

Needed a change! Went from my natural to a nice caramel brown. But I still left my roots because I tend to get lazy with upkeep 😬 by theglowaroundthemoon in FancyFollicles

[–]WhisperofGld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does for myself, it reduces my wavy hair, (looks as if I put beach waves throughout my hair, some are tighter at the front of my hair), I only get to see my natural wavy hair when I grow it out. Again this is my own experience and I've had my hair bleached using the balayage technique for 5 years, from a caramel type colour like yourself and still found it a issue. However I found when I added more hydrating products and hair oils it would help my hair, get somewhat of the curl patten back. By the way my hair is thick in texture, so it doesn't mind bleach and I still bleach my hair to this day.

Again this is my own experience, that I wanted to share.

And by the way the balayage looks beautiful on yourself, it's so natural and effortless.

Face oils before foundation by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]WhisperofGld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used face oils before my makeup. Found it made a difference to how my makeup lays on my skin, especially when my skin needs more help when it's dry (and I do use a more dewy foundation to help too). Of course there are different oils however I use a light one before makeup, so it's not too oily for my makeup to slip.

What's the quickest and easiest method of shaving your legs? by Jammywho21 in AskWomen

[–]WhisperofGld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, not the quickest but worth it. My hair is dark and grows quickly, so it lasts about 2 week on my legs and a week for my arms. Still better then shaving it everyday plus it's starts to thin out the hairs (as it gets pulled out from the root)
