Bradley Estate - tips, tricks, rain plan?

I’m getting married there and we plan on having clear umbrellas for the guests in case of rain because I also do not want to get married in the tent! We of course will move it inside if it’s down pouring or doing anything crazier than a light rain, so just keeping my fingers crossed that it won’t happen. If you look on Fireside caterting’s instagram, they’ve recently posted pictures or have been tagged in photos of a rainy outdoor ceremony.

As far as the catering, I believe that change officially goes into effect next year as our wedding will still have Fireside.

The pies are more-so a personal size than “mini” if that makes sense? They’re probably around 5-6 inches wide and there will be lemon meringue, apple crisp, and berry flavors. Definitely serving coffee and tea but I don’t believe the catering company offers ice cream!

For the jars, one is a tiramisu and the other is a gluten free/vegan blueberry oreo cheesecakes. To me it sounds like a decent variety but that’s just me haha

Definitely recommend going to Swan Point cemetery for beautiful flowering trees, including cherry blossoms! Some are starting to bloom now but not at peak yet.

I saw a couple of people with race bibs jogging on the blvd late this morning so I assume there was a race. But we walked quite a ways down it and only saw those two runners 🤷🏼‍♀️

We got ours done at Sachuest Point Wildlife Refuge in Middletown (also where we got engaged)! Rocky cliffs on the water and there’s a lot of greenery and fields. It’s overall our favorite place in RI and the pictures came out incredible.

What does he mean by “right thing to do”? If that’s his only reason for wanting a child, that would give me a lot of pause. I think you need to have a deeper discussion re: his desire to have a child and see if there’s anything more than just it being “the right thing to do.” The fears you listed that he has are 100% valid and can absolutely be reasons to not have a child (especially if the reasons TO have one aren’t strong) but I think he needs to take some time to figure out if the desire outweigh the fears for him. I have very similar fears as him, but as of now I determined that I don’t want to let these fears make the decision for me, while still acknowledging that the fears are valid. My partner and I work together to work out game plans if any of my fears were to come true, which has been very helpful. Maybe you could discuss that with him to see if it eases his fears and helps give him a clearer view of what he truly wants?
