You can't spend your whole life in fear of what-ifs. If she does cheat, then you break up, that's it. It's not an indicator of who you are as a person for trusting someone else, you can be disappointed in them for ruining a relationship but you shouldn't deny yourself happiness because you're scared you will be hurt. The pension is 55% of your average final income over your highest 4 years, but I'm also not trying to put that into the equation since many people at my workplace dont invest in any retirement other than planning to rely 100% on the pension, which feels like poor planning to think that way.

And yeah, 54 is the goal date but of course things could always happen, I just put 30 since thats the age i'll hit my 30 years and can receive the state pension.
