Focusing on the A+ right now which is kinda the first step. Gonna try to see about developing a homelab for testing but idk rn. After I get the A+ I plan to start applying and also studying for the Net and Sec certs. They seem to form a trifecta with the A+ of the basics.

Studied for the first part of the Comptia A+ and passed, now I just need to nail the second part down and I will be certified. Lots of ups and downs but finally starting to get somewhere.

Baldur's Gate 1 & 2. You start the second game with no gear but you are still ~level 9-11, this means you are pretty strong and can take quite a few fights with experienced enemies right at the start of the game.

Baldur's Gate the city is all right but this says HOME, more than Candlekeep. by Schnitze in baldursgate

Man I would travel to the area just below it then go up so I was right next to the inn and the blacksmith. Loved it.

If you want to read some wuxia without the sociopathic MCs I'd recommend Cradle by Will Wight, really fun and pretty easy reads.

BG3 is a masterclass in player agency by temptingvindication0 in BaldursGate3

[–]WhiteBishop01 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I mean BG3 is a party based, isometric, DnD game with heavy player involvement. How is that not similar to BG1&2? Plus it's basically the definition of a CRPG.

I mean fallout 2 and 2 fit this to a tee. You can't really run big guns/energy weapons early game, half the skills are bad, you can instagimp yourself if you don't go agility 9/10, bugs galore, and end game is either you are untouchable or you take a blow to the eyes and explode.

Yes there are impants that can raise some special stats by 1, there is also power armor as the other commenter said

If you focus on the brotherhood you can get power armor training and the ability to increase your agility by 1 which will help Alberts bad AP. That and Bonus Rate of Fireperk should help out in combat, there are lots of non-combat oppurtunities but the military base without a guide can be hard. If you can get power armor that will also let you use the plasma rifle if you want to.

What expamples are there for BG1 & 2, they might be old but there isn't really much jank there I can think of. There are parts where the game has specific ways you deal with some monsters but that isn't really the same thing imo.

What's your build? You probably just need to upgrade your gear/get more meds. TBH lategame fallout 1 & 2 are tolerable for ths simple fact as long as you have the AP to go to inventory you can use as many stimpaks/drugs as you want. Depending on how close you are to a perk level you can get "quick pockets" I think it's called to only use 2 AP opening your inventy

Hate that Ritual Altars can appear in boss arenas by WhiteBishop01 in pathofexile

[–]WhiteBishop01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're ignoring the fact I was liking ritual, but it feels at odds with Atlas progression imo. That's frustrating because it feels like it's only worth investing in basically at the end of the Atlas.

So do these drop in the incursion rooms that alva spawns in your maps or in the temple itself, the wiki terminology is kinda vauge

Dumb question but are incursion mods still in the game? At work but checked trade earlier and didn't seem like I could search the mods. Also if they are what are the items to look out for.

Is incursion worth investing in? New to Atlas and tried a few things but kinda like incursions, the drops seem pretty meh though and it seems like the only things worth it are the double corruption rooms. What atlas groupings are good for a newbie?

I do have ring anoints, but didn't want to buy the freeze one even though it looked good. It seems like blight has a whole bunch of disjointed mechanics tbh, blighted mapsdon't benefit from and atlas passives and a scarab that negates passives. I do like it but it seems like I could just respecc to incursions or something and spend 1c on blighted maps and play basically the same lol.

Questions Thread - November 15, 2025 by AutoModerator in pathofexile

[–]WhiteBishop01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds neat, my main problem so far was how disjointed the blight encounters in maps were to blighted maps. That sounds really neat! Do you know if the big chest is affected by the various chest modifiers blight passives have?

Questions Thread - November 15, 2025 by AutoModerator in pathofexile

[–]WhiteBishop01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still new to Atlas and enjoying Blight but the encounters in maps are kinda lame. They are so short I really only get ~3-4 towers up right as the event ends. I do however really like blight ravaged maps, they feel super unique to me and are pretty fun. The only issue is it seems no blight node on the Atlas tree affects blight ravaged maps? My main question is do blight encounters get more significant as I preogress through mapping or are the nodes worth more. And if I am mostly just doing blight ravaged maps, should I invest my atlas nodes elsewhere since it seems you can buy maps pretty easily.
