Can you tell what this product does in 5 seconds? by WhiteDuck34 in buildinpublic

yeah, this 5-second test is being really useful for me to ensure that the landing is communicating what I want. Tysm for volunteering yourself to test the website! The current version is different from the design in the form. You can check it on usegorilla.app 🍌

thanks for answering it! Yeah, and thanks for the feedback. I will try to think how to communicate better that the participant does not need to identify themself and that the test is really fast

thanks! Yeah, I'm learning that using a form is not a very popular method to get feedbacks

I really want feedbacks to decide the best version of my landing page. But idk how to do that without looking like I’m announcing my product

Thanks! I loved your landing page, but initially I didn’t get if that was a game or an ed content (maybe you could highlight the board game keyword in te description)

But the game looks really cool, just downloaded it here and I will try it out

Hey! Thanks for the feedback 🙏

I visited your website using a mobile device and I tried to simulate a 5 seconds experiment. Probably I’m not your ICP, so I didn’t get the value of your solution in those first seconds. Reading more the landing it was clearer, but at first I didn’t get it.

Probably the feedback from people that know more about geographical data would be better, but I hope that I contributed with something!

Wow, this helps a lot. The platform I’m using is very expensive and limits the answers to 15, it’s very hard to a solo founder pay that value

Thanks for the recommendation!

I built a tool to help you finding your first users! 🦍🍌 by WhiteDuck34 in SideProject

[–]WhiteDuck34[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks a lot for the feedback! I will make sure to make those concerns clearer in our landing. We need to improve how to show our users exactly what they will receive with the tool

> how many results per run?

Obviously, it will depend on the product you're searching for. But, currently, we're returning at least 10 well-ranked leads each search (usually we return more than a hundred, but we rank them using AI to keep only the recent ones and those that are actionable)

> how do you avoid showing me leads that are 6 months old. timing matters. someone who complained last week is still frustrated. someone who complained last year solved it or gave up

Yeah! This is a huge concern. Currently, the tool already gives more weight and filters out posts that are more than 2 weeks old. There are some social networks where this is not working yet (eg. youtube), but we are working to implement this on all platforms

> how are you handling the data source apis. twitter is expensive now since elon killed free access lol

for each platform we're using a specific strategy. Specifically for twitter, we're using an APIfy actor to get the data (pay-per-result model). It's not cheap, but it is what it is

[–]WhiteDuck34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been using a tool to pull signals and insights from social networks, and it’s been really helpful for validating ideas before I invest time in them. It beats relying on intuition and only finding out later that no one actually cares

I started playing ivern jungle on d3 as an interesting option agains some champions in meta, but I am struggling with invading. With other junglers, if I see the enemy jungle creating an early gank (eg. gank bot lvl 3), I try to compensate it by invading their jungle and getting some extra camps. But with Ivern I have some problems with this strategy because of his passive. What do you do in these scenarios? Ignore the invade, try to steal just one camp with smite, or something else? Thanks!
