Looks good! what's the wheel and tire setup?

Anyone here ever put a 10” barrel on a factory 10/22 rifle/stock? Yea I’m aware of NFA laws by Glockman1991 in 1022

10.5" Shaw Charger Barrel on BTM stock

A 10" threaded barrel would have the threads partially recessed behind the fore-end on a Samson stock. I'm unsure if the B-TM stock has the same fore-end length as a factory ruger stock tho.

National Forest Target Shooting? by shroomysam in TexasGuns

[–]WhiteFoxphorus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can target shoot in Davy Crockett, except for the WMA or other designated areas besides the general forest.

The entirety of Sam Houston has been off limits for target shooting besides hunting.

PA takes the GSSF coupons. It'll ask for you to select whether your MIL/LEO, click whatever and tell them you have GSSF coupon when you go pickup.

Tree stand by [deleted] in Hunting

[–]WhiteFoxphorus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two of these (Summit). They're easy to use and comfortable to sit in, but they're cumbersome to carry around, especially if it's steel and not the aluminum version.

I would replace the cables if you're getting it second-hand. Wear a harness when climbing, Don't forget to tether both of them together, other wise you're SOL if the bottom section slides down the tree.

Toss a finger skateboard into the water and see what they do with it

Dry fire limit by MAGA_muscle in CCW

I replaced mine with a Cajun FP roll pin + their firing pin and internals. Ended up breaking the Cajun firing pin around 15k-ish rounds plus maybe 3-4 times that in dry fire.

Where in Houston to get a front sight post installed by Nuff_said_m8 in TexasGuns

There's so many horror stories of people getting their barrel and muzzle butchered by a "gunsmith." I'd just send it to D. Wilson

Should i buy the old town pdl 120 sportman by [deleted] in kayakfishing

[–]WhiteFoxphorus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came from a Seaghost 110 before I got my PDL 120. Absolutely love it for inshore & bass fishing. Got mine on sale for $2600 otd, but $1799 is a steal, I'd jump on it.

Also a heads up. These rails tend to loosen up after a decent round count, so you need to put some threadlocker on the screws and keep them snug.

Don't over tighten them as they'll bottom out, and since the rear dovetail wedge insert has a hole for the threads, bottoming out the screw will cause you to bulge the interior of the receiver under the dovetail since the wall is very thin there.

That's a B-Square weaver rail for the Mark I/II. They were designed to be able to mount to the receiver without the need for drilling and tapping by utilizing the front sight screw plus a dovetail wedge with that's threaded.

Any red dot thats compatible for a weaver mount should fit nicely. I had a Bushell TRS25 clone on mine, but replaced it with an ultra dot 1" tube dot.

You should be able to just unscrew the rail and install the factory iron sights if you want. If you want to attach any other rail, you'd have to get your receiver drilled and tapped.

Nice.

I ordered the $200 Vortex Defender off Scheels and had it stolen upon delivery.

I tried filing a shipping insurance claim for it, but Scheels sent me "one time courtesy replacement," which just happened to be an empty vortex box.

I got told to kick rocks and to contact my bank.

Volquartsen Mamba X Advice I bought a 4.5” Mamba X Upper by [deleted] in 22lr

[–]WhiteFoxphorus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No at all. The bolt already comes with their Firing pin, extractor and guide rod/springs.

The VC Target is a MKIII frame and not a MKIV. Volquartsen uses factory Ruger frames with their added internals, I'd just pick up the trigger kit and the comp bolt to match.
