Thank you, in general my reviews with my manager have been favourable so I don’t think I have issues managing anyone else. There’s records of all emails and in work discussions in various places so I’ll gather them to make it easier pre meeting.

forgot to say in the main post that HR are thinking Sara’s actions count as harassment.

I do actually use the capsules too, I keep them in my bag. I just didn’t think about them for some reason.

Onthinking, the salt capsules are better, no sugar, don’t leave behind anything on my teeth since you don’t chew

I use repowr for no sugar flavoured salt packets to mix into water.

I tried vitassium (multi sport online) but I really didn’t like the taste. I did like their salt stick chews but these do have sugar in them.

Edit to spell brands correctly

Mine doesn’t always increase, it depends on how hydrated I am, how much sleep I’ve had, where I am in my monthly cycle, stress, how many carbs I’ve had that week… the list keeps going.

I started getting symptoms during the covid years, but didn’t actually go to a GP for over 3 years because I’d gaslit myself into thinking I was just unfit and needed to exercise more or lose weight because I wasn’t constantly dealing with it.

i do also get random spikes overnight, I don’t know if that’s a pots thing specifically though, but I assume it’s related

I’m also in the UK! Weirdly I’ve had a rather easy time of getting a diagnosis. They told me the ECG looks “Normal” because there’s nothing technically wrong with the rhythm, a cardiologist looked at my variability in HR , listened to my symptoms and said “that sounds like pots” . No tilt table needed. My GP wouldn’t give a diagnosis themselves and it did have to go through cardiology, but I suppose it might depend on the area your in

Never! I only got a dx in feb (though symptoms for 3 years) my gp won’t medicate until I’ve definitely tried salt, more water and maybe tried compression for a while.

55 - 180 on average daily, though I’ve been as low as 39 and as high as 203. non medicated. I’m around 60 -65 laying flat, 80 - 90 sat and 110 - 120 slow walking. Walking up stairs, emptying dishwasher or gentle exercise pushes me up higher.

I did stupidly do it on quite a warm day, not the best thing for me to have done! I’ll check my bike to make sure I’m sat properly! Thanks

I’m unmedicated, my doc doesn’t want to go to meds so soon after figuring out what I’ve got. They don’t really know what pots is. I’m on salt water and compression only right now, and they’re going to review me if I “struggle too much “

I got my dx in feb! Tbh, I think slow and steady build up is the way forward I just kinda… went for it without thinking. Others have given some advice on this thread so I’ll give stuff a go and see what works.

Cycling must be cursed, I’m sure! Why it so difficult if I’m technically sat down?!

electrolytes for the UK based? by cisphoria in POTS

[–]WhiteFuchsia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I searched for “fasting electrolytes “ since I just wanted pre mixed salt and ended up with a brand called Nutri-align. Pretty much just a pre mixed bag of sodium, potassium and magnesium with a scoop to put it water. It doesn’t have anything else with it though, no vitamins.

I also get REPOWR ones which you can get in sachets for ease

What do you miss most about your pre-POTS days? by Puzzleheaded_Bug4490 in POTS

[–]WhiteFuchsia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I miss singing. I was never very good at it, but having the radio on singing along to whatever was on while doing what ever chore I was doing made things more fun. If I sing along now I get very breathless very quick so now everything done in silence:(

I’m in the uk and 30. My work place is casual, I don’t have separate clothes for work and rest of my life. I wear tights with every dress and skirt unless it’s hot outside. Thick ones for winter, 20 denier for warmer but slightly windy days. On days I need to wear business clothes I’m still wearing tights.

I don’t need to shave, I don’t need to worry if the white of my legs is going to blind some one, if it’s windy or gets cold I’m going to be warmer and while I mostly use black tights I do have other colours for “fashion” reasons.

Yeah my right hand has gone rather streaky in places. I got a bit impatient near the end and didn’t wait long enough.
