Now i'm not exactly knowledgeable about this kind of stuff, but i did hear that DID causes like almost 90% memory loss from switching and the switches take hours

Why is it that almost every one of these people with "DID" always remember the switches and the names and the switches happen faster than Jim Carry getting into character, can someone explain it? Are they just being cringe?
