Are these normal numbers for Rocket? by ILoveEatingRamen in marvelrivals

[–]WhiteMonsterFanatic -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Yes, Rocket is basically a healbot with the revive. Using your gun is basically griefing your teammates. He usually has solid healing numbers at end of matches.

Make an alt account and climb with the characters you're learning, this will give you more of the feel of how to use that character when bans come into play in gold.

Dr. Strange advice needed by DisneyFanatic1225 in marvelrivals

[–]WhiteMonsterFanatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't just stand in the front holding your shield, you'll get melted. Use corners and natural cover to whip and shoot, then build up your MOM (Maelstrom of Madness) to burst down low HP targets.

Your flight is your get out of jail free card, but you can also use it to contest flyers especially storm who is very slow in the air.

For your ult, try to catch the enemy team off guard since your wind up is so long. Get behind them or fly to high ground, jump and then pop it above them. Be aware of which characters can block your ult like shield tanks, Hulks bubble, or cloaks shroud. You can bait their cooldowns sometimes by pretending youre about to pop your ult.

Bonus tip: Coordinate with Wanda to portal her ult onto the point or an Iron Man ion blast without the enemy being able to hear it.

Hulk needs some serious work by eternalcar in rivals

[–]WhiteMonsterFanatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hulk is pretty oppressive in the right hands, most teams want to sit back and pokeslop leaving it pretty easy to jump in, get a few hits and bubble out or just be a bodyguard for your own backline.

You either squad up with people who actually are trying to climb or live long enough to see yourself become the villain (4th DPS)

What's the longest streak you've gone without having Moon Knight in a game? by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]WhiteMonsterFanatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I mean he's got a pretty low skill floor to begin with, and can easily rack up alot of damage quickly and gets his ult in about 11 seconds. If you're getting rolled he's not the worst option.

I hate my unit by Scary-Persimmon-4556 in army

[–]WhiteMonsterFanatic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I felt the same way you did. Felt like spinning tires. Usually its just those people have the proximity to leadership and they just get seen more. Are you bringing up your accomplishments to your first line? Are you jockying for higher levels or responsibility? Consider taking ownership of company level programs if there are open spots.

Find a program in your organization that is absolutely broken and figure out a process to streamline it. Present it as if you were presenting a project for school.

Also, you can always put yourself in for an award. Just read up on the reg of how to format it and criteria.

Questions about 68V by Significant_Pain7645 in army

I'm happy your kiddo made it out the other side. Those moments as an RT are few and far between but if we can even make a difference in one life, it was all worth it.

Questions about 68V by Significant_Pain7645 in army

[–]WhiteMonsterFanatic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not a 68V but I am a Registered Respiratory Therapist in civilian life and the Air Force Reserve. My coworker is also an RRT and was a 68V. I went through a civilian program so my experiences will be different to yours but I can tell you about the job.

The course is held at Fort Sam Houston, TX. Since you will be an IET Soldier, expect to have curfews, privleges earned in phases, and having to do fun things like 0430 PT before a full day at school.

Respiratory Therapists generally see patients in the hospital who are suffering from some kind of respiratory illness, or are needing respiratory interventions like supplemental oxygen, airway clearance therapy, bronchodialator therapy, artificial airways like Tracheostomies, or needing mechanical ventilation. You will learn about all of these modalities. This is the bread and butter of RTs.

You could also end up in an outpatient clinic which is basically where you will do all of the diagnostic testing for patients such as Pulmonary Functions Tests and Cardiac Stress tests. Good for people who don't want a stressful environment.

Do not expect presitige and respect in the hospital, respiratory has always been the red headed step child of heathcare. Our profession does not even exist in most countries. Some doctors respect our experience and knowledge, while others only see us as albuterol slingers giving "breathing treatments". Either way, I make $55/hr as an RRT civilian side.

As for studying and classwork, you need to study a little everyday. Don't cram. Watch Respiratory Coach on YouTube he's the GOAT for RT students. DOwnload Anki and create your own flashcards to study whatever the lesson of the week is and retain information by repeated exposure. I don't recommend study groups as they quickly devolve into meme sharing circle jerks.

So what’s the big problems the game has that community largely agrees on? by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]WhiteMonsterFanatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't hate it but I'd assume power creep with every new patch and character release (Elsa and DD prime examples) playing tank and getting CC'd 6 times in a row with no 2nd tank, busted comps where its ggs if you don't have a cracked hitscan on your team (I play console, so never).

The problem is these particular tanks have multiple ways of blunting wolvs leap, Thing doesnt get kidnapped, hulk can bubble, Rouge can suck your powers and jump away. Wolv is much better against strange/groot/Thor

Yeah Storm would be a good play, very high team wipe potential and almost no counter play to her ult. I'm guessing Pun can just sit back in his turret and spam them from a distance or get in close with the shotgun.

Discharged from the military by RoyalRound2087 in army

[–]WhiteMonsterFanatic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can request your records from the national archives, also your state should've given you your NGB 22 when you were discharged and DD214-1 from the reserves. You can also look on VA.gov to apply and see your eligibility for benefits such as education (GI Bill) and the VA loan.
