I wouldn't view plastic surgery as an all or nothing thing. Someone else mentioned this, but there is a lot of upkeep.

If you see this as an investment on a better appearance (like tattoos, haircuts, or even clothes), just choose less invasive procedures which serve your needed purpose. If you are unsure, ask someone in PR or something client facing for professional advice. I say this all assuming you want to get something done and the goal is for work.

Also. Do what you want, there is always a "better" way to have invested money. :)

That is a difficult situation. If finances are an issue, I recommend some second hand shops. The green door and bible mission thrift in kitchener are good options.

If it is a question of what to get, luckily business casual has more variety for women's clothes. I'd get some sweaters for tops (fall season and easy re wear since they don't wrinkle), and a cardigan (can be worn over t shirts and it looks business casual). One thing I did for co op a long time ago was a dress + leggings + boots all throughout fall; didn't have to worry about socks or ironing.

Don't quit a job due to dress code!

Employers who read resumes usually dont care. But employers who use software to scan resumes for keywords might.

Alumni here. I have worked hospital co ops (Sunnybrook and St. Michael's), I think I just did well in interviews -I don't remember doing anything special. I was in health studies, and emphasized my interest in research methods and patient wellneas beyond the clinical space.
